Comments: The Liguus genus of tree snails are native to tropical hardwood hammocks of south Florida. They typically spend the winter "dry" season attached to the trunks and branches of trees. Once conditions are wet enough, their tight seals against the tree are broken and they can once again move about. They are the most active immediately after a rain storm when humidity levels are very high.
